Thunder God of the Multiverse

DatesSat 27 April 2013

Start time: 7:30

Price: $15

Local progressive punk band Thunder God of the Multiverse have decided to bust right out and on the 27th of April are launching their new album Peaks of blissful nonsense  at the star court theatre, Lismore’s most renowned venue.  This is no doubt a bold move for the local Punk outfit but what Thunder G  wants most of all for this show, is the chance to rock out in front of a comfortable, seated audience on what is, compared to other venues in town , a stage with space!

Peaks of blissful nonsense is a 12 track concept album, which was recorded at Old dog studios. It is a reflection and contemplation of the story of one man’s journey through loneliness, psychedelics and schizophrenia. Unlike many concept albums which are highly self-indulgent and expect the listener to delve deep into lyric sheets and books the artist might have read. "Peaks" is made much easier to grasp with narration tracks between each song.

At the concert, Thunder God of the Multiverse will perform two sets, first their new album from beginning to end, followed by  a second set consisting of a random assortment of old and new material all played under the full array of colourful and intense lighting, Yarrr!

Since their debut release Alternative names for Thunder God of the Multiverse in 2011, Thunder G have indulged heavily in what many would consider a vivacious and unique local music scene and wish only for it to continue to evolve further and reach its full potential once again. So if there is ever a pang of guilt in your soul for not supporting the local original music scene, well then don't miss this show! Seriously pencil that gear in right now!!!

The new albumPeaks of blissful nonsense will be available for purchase on the 27th of March from the Thunder God of the multiverse Facebook page and will also be available on the night.
