'The Rockabilly Women' will turn back the clock to the 1950's and we invite you to come along to this fantastic show. It will be the most fun history lesson you have ever heard! Featuring the stories and songs of the most important women of early rock and roll. A killer four piece band mixed with vintage video clips makes this a must see show.

"Narelle Evans has tapped into and captured the heart and soul of Rockabilly"
-Georgina Reed,  Mix Biz

If Elvis caused a scandal in 1955 - imagine what it was like for women who wanted to rock!

The female rock and rollers of the 1950's unknowingly became pioneers. They laid foundations for the cultural and sexual revolutions of the 1960's and a story rarely told

Four women  (including Wanda Jackson) who defied convention and rocked in this era are celebrated. The show is built around their fascinating stories set against the backdrop of 1950's mid west America. The dialogue is based on recorded quotes of the women and incorporates vintage stills and footage.

Come and hear the gems these women recorded played live by some fine Sydney music luminaries:

Narelle Evans - Vocals: (The Jive Bombers, Bridie King)

Jack Evans - Guitar/Vocals: (Steve Prestwich (Cold Chisel) Band, The Kites)

Chris Perry - Bass/Vocals/Musical director: (The Moods, The Jive Bombers)

Tony Georgeson - Drums: (Steve Edmonds Band, Matt Finish, The Jive Bombers)

Creatively developed by acclaimed director Robert Jarman.
