Venus in Fur

With Polanski's latest film, he has, like the main character, chosen to adapt a stage play, David Ives’ VENUS IN FUR but this time the director has opted to make the movie in French. The play itself is actually an adaptation of the 1870 novel by Leopold Zaka Masock who inspired the term masochism and the book revolves around a man's desire to be dominated by a woman.  - The Movie Show
