SWEET DREAMS: SONGS BY ANNIE LENNOX
Michael Griffiths IS Annie Lennox. From the gender bending early days as one half of Eurythmicsthrough to her stunning solo career, revisit unforgettable songs like Why, Walking on Broken Glass and There Must Be An Angel(Playing With My Heart). Sweets Dreams: Songs by Annie Lennox was awarded Best Cabaret at the Adelaide Fringe 2014 for Michael Griffiths’ engaging interpretation of the legend herself. Written and directed by Dean Bryant (Sweet Charity), the story spans Annie’s incredibly successful career.

'With a stinging sense of humour and enough charm to woo even the most hostile of audiences, the former Jersey Boy captured the room from the moment he stepped on stage.' The AU Review

ADOLESCENT
Michael Griffiths isn't going to let turning 40 stop his prolonged adolescence. His really prolonged adolescence.

In his new cabaret show, Adolescent, Griffiths recalls falling in love, why he can't go ten pin bowling and how touring in jukebox musicals has happily kept him emotionally immature. Written and performed by Griffiths, Adolescent is a self-deprecating hour of song, humour and personal revelation in the Deluxe Spiegeltent at the Garden of Unearthly Delights from 13 February – 15 March 2015. Featuring songs he knows all too well from Jersey Boys, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and lots of his first love, 80s pop including songs from Culture Club, A-ha, Duran Duran and Dusty Springfield.

Griffiths has been described as ‘extraordinary’, The Age; ‘a rare and wonderful performer’, Artshub; ‘funny and charming’, Stage Whispers, ‘his piano playing ‘effortless’, Herald Sun
